We are looking for an experienced Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, as well as the ability to work with a variety of tools and machines. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and the willingness to take on challenging tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify machines, tools, and equipment.
- Inspect parts for defects and measure parts to ensure a proper fit.
- Use hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and hammers to assemble parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Use welding and soldering techniques to join metal parts.
- Test assembled machinery for proper functioning.

Salary: £25,500.00-£29,000.00 per year
